Happy Art Birthday!

This year my Sweet Pea wanted to celebrate her birthday with an Art Party.  So, this is what I came up with:

Painting Station

Painting with all the colors

Sparkle Bug Station

Making Sparkle Bugs was the one and only requirement I had to fulfill to make her happy.

Sculpting Station

Balloon Break

Who doesn't like to chase around balloons?  I mean, really?!

Of course, there has to be:

Cake

Making a wish!

Rainbow Cake

Cleaning Up

Cleaning can be just as much fun as the party.

Provo Pride Festival

Provo Pride Festival has become a little tradition for our little family.  My hubby and I love to take our little ones to see the royalty, eat some great food, play at the bounce houses, and visit the booths.  It's a great way to show support for the LGBT community in Provo.  It's also a wonderful way to find out about resources available to the community and how to get in contact with them.

This year there seemed to be more booths than last year, and I thought that there were way more people in attendance.  Both good things for Provo Pride. Because our kids are still pretty little we don't try to get them to listen to the performances at the main stage, but the music I did hear while perusing the booths was good.

It was a fun little afternoon.  Can't wait 'til next year.

Birthday Seasons

This morning, while contemplating the shortening distance between my current age and 30, I was remembering the different ways that my previous birthdays have been celebrated. The swimming parties, the decorations my parents put up, the mornings that I was awakened early to go out to Village Inn for breakfast with friends, and the flowers and note found on my doorstep from a friend on the other side of the world.

Then I started to think about all the fun things I wanted to do for my little ones. The decorating, the party themes, and the activities. All fun things for my special little veggies.

And after that, my birthdays to come. They seem very uneventful. There aren't any mile stone birthdays left. Nothing big like 12, 16, 18, or 21. I guess there are seasons to Birthdays. My season for the fun exciting birthdays has past. And the season to celebrate the little ones is here. They get the attention. They are the ones that need the attention and special treatment.

I hope that my Sweet Pea and my Green Bean have as many great memories of their birthdays when they get to be my age.

My Adorable Baby Shower

My wonderful friend put on a baby shower for me this past Saturday. I promised you pictures. Here are the treats:
She did Carmel Popcorn, Chocolate Popcorn with M&Ms, Cake Pops, a wonderful salad, Pretzel Pop things, and a Dum dum Flower(on the other side of the table).

So cute!

The table from when you walk in with the balloon decorations:

And our drinks. Water and soda Pop.
The theme was Phannie is about to POP! I'm so sad I didn't get a picture of the wreath on the front door. She had made it out of 360 balloons. So adorable. Sorry there are no pictures of people, but those pics are on my mothers camera. I'll have to get them another time.

Thanks for the fabulous shower.

Updates

Oh, it's been a very long week. Monday was a hospital night. I was there for 4 hours because I couldn't breath, had upper back pain, and a really bad headache. Long night with my Sweet Pea being very good while at the hospital. She wouldn't go back to sleep. Poor little one. But after a while, everything calmed down and I came home.

So, going into the hospital makes everything seem like it should be here already and almost painful that it hasn't arrived yet. Tuesday dragged on. Wednesday was my regular appointment. Everything looking okay. My blood pressure is a little high, but still in okay territory. It will be nice when I don't have moments of my heart all-of-a-sudden racing.

Thursday was just that, Thursday. Friday I was at my parents house and got to at least get out of my own cave. It was nice that night to see family that I hadn't seen for a long time. BBQ's are always fantastic right?

Saturday was fantastic. One of my fantabulous friends put on a baby shower for me. She is amazing. She had everything just perfect. All decorated and lovely. (I will be posting pictures later. I haven't downloaded them yet) It was beautiful. Thanks so much.

Sunday was a blissfully relaxing day. Who doesn't like to just sit and read Harry Potter with the Hubby all afternoon? I mean, really? I can't wait until he is home for Paternity Leave and we get to finish the whole series together. We're almost done and it doesn't even matter that we've each read it 3 other times. WE LOVE IT!

It's a new week. Maybe there will be some action this week? If not, hopefully I can get everything ready for next weeks scheduled delivery. 10 days. It's feeling pretty wonderful to see the end of the tunnel.
